HAMILTON, Ontario (AP) — Jeremiah Masoli threw three first-half touchdown passes and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats beat the B.C. Lions 48-8 on Sunday in the CFL's East Division semifinal.

Hamilton advanced to the division final next Sunday at Ottawa.

Masoli was 14 of 19 passes for 259 yards and the three TDs before giving way to Dane Evans in the fourth quarter.

B.C. reached the East Division playoffs as a crossover team after finishing fourth in the West with a 9-9 record. The Lions ended their season with three straight losses, an unceremonious end to coach Wally Buono's CFL career.
