CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — Robert Brown scored 18 points and the winning basket, William Lee added 13 and grabbed 11 rebounds, and UAB held off Charlotte 74-72 on Saturday for its first 12-game winning streak since the 1991-92 season.

Dirk Williams scored 15 and Chris Cokley added 14 for the Blazers (15-4, 5-0 Conference USA), who outrebounded the 49ers 41-36 and shot 10 of 20 from long distance.

Trailing 46-33 at halftime, Charlotte rallied and pulled within 66-62 with 5:23 left on Curran Scott's layup.

Cokley made a layup, two free throws and a dunk to put the Blazers up by 10, 72-62, but the 49ers closed and Scott hit a 3 to tie it at 72 with 39 seconds left.

Brown hit his jumper with three seconds to go after Hakeem Baxter's offensive rebound.

Scott scored a career-high 30 points on 11-of-20 shooting for Charlotte (4-13, 1-4) and Joseph Uchebo added 14 with 19 boards.
