AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) — The Detroit Pistons have signed second-round draft pick Michael Gbinije to a multiyear contract.

The team did not announce any more details about the deal Thursday.

Gbinije averaged 17.5 points as a senior at Syracuse and helped the Orange to a Final Four appearance last season. After being drafted by the Pistons, the 6-foot-7 guard missed most of summer league because of a sprained right ankle.
