PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas (AP) — Gonzaga and Virginia made impressive statements, offering reminders during Thanksgiving week tournaments not to discount veteran-led teams. The Zags beat Duke and the much-ballyhooed Blue Devils freshmen in the Maui Invitational while the Cavaliers knocked off No. 25 Wisconsin to win the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas.

UNDATED (AP) — Air Force's Cole Fagan had career highs of 34 carries for 260 yards against Colorado State for the top rushing performance in the Football Bowl Subdivision this past week and the best by a fullback in Falcons' history. Connecticut finished its season with the worst FBS averages ever for points and yards allowed. Ohio State's Dwayne Haskins set Big Ten single-season records for touchdown passes and passing yards.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Hello again, Georgia and Alabama. For the second time in less than 11 months, the two Southeastern Conference powers are set to meet at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium with a championship on the line in a mentor-versus-former-pupil showdown.

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) — Orlando area native Grant Riller scored 32 points and added a career-high nine assists, Jarrell Brantley had 19 points, and Charleston beat Memphis 78-75 for fifth place. Cameron McGriff had 28 points, Lindy Waters added 16, and Oklahoma State defeated No. 19 LSU 90-77 in the third-place game. Oklahoma State (4-2) beat Memphis 84-64 and lost to defending national champion Villanova 77-58 earlier in the invitational.

UNDATED (AP) — Perhaps the clearest evidence of Tennessee's fall over the last decade is how the Volunteers have lost their status as the premier program in their own state. Tennessee squandered an opportunity to earn a bowl bid in coach Jeremy Pruitt's first season by losing 38-13 to Vanderbilt. This marks the third straight year that Tennessee has lost to Vanderbilt.

UNDATED (AP) — Ohio State has moved up to No. 6 in The Associated Press college football poll after trouncing rival Michigan. The Buckeyes jumped four spots and the Wolverines fell four to No. 8. But overall the rankings were rather stable after the last weekend of the regular season. Georgia moved up a spot to No. 4 behind Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame. Oklahoma is fifth. Unbeaten UCF also moved up a spot to No. 7.

ESTERO, Fla. (AP) — Hannah Schuchts made every shot she took except a free throw in the final seconds, setting career highs with six 3-pointers and 25 points, to lead No. 21 Missouri to a 62-54 win over Duke for fifth place in the Gulf Coast Showcase. Schuchts, a junior forward whose previous career game highs were four 3-pointers and 12 points, was 8-of-8 shooting and 3 of 4 from the line, her only miss coming with 18 seconds left.
