UNDATED (AP) — BYU might just have gone from the most precarious of positions on the NCAA Tournament bubble to a near-lock in one memorable night, thanks to one spectacular performance against second-ranked Gonzaga. The Cougars (23-7) were trending in the right direction anyway, winning seven straight heading into their match-up with the Bulldogs. But the show they put on with a 91-78 victory Saturday night, long after folks on the East Coast probably went to bed, was exactly the kind of game BYU coach Mark Pope had been hoping to see as March drew near.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) — T.J. Gibbs scored 19 points and made 5-of-6 3-pointers, John Mooney notched his nation-leading 22nd double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, and hot-shooting Notre Dame rolled to an 87-71 victory over Miami. Prentiss Hubb added 15 points and 10 assists as the Fighting Irish won for the sixth time in eight games. DJ Vasiljevic, Isaiah Wong and Harlond Beverly each scored 12 points for the Hurricanes, who saw their three-game win streak snapped. Notre Dame converted 14 of 31 from 3-point range, including 10 of 18 in the first half while building a 48-29 lead.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Kylee Shook scored 17 points to lead No. 5 Louisville as the Cardinals dominated Pittsburgh, 79-47 on Sunday. Louisville (25-3, 14-2 ACC) led by just one point at the end of the first quarter, but had a 50-17 margin over the middle two periods, erasing any ideas of an upset for Pitt (4-23, 1-15), which dropped its seventh straight game.
