SPRINGFIELD, N.J. (AP) — Midway leaders Robert Streb and Jimmy Walker have late start times for the third round of the PGA Championship. They begin play in the lead at 9-under, two strokes in front of Jason Day and Emiliano Grillo.
WOBURN, England (AP) — Thailand's Ariya Jutanugarn (ahr-EE'-uh JUH'-tan-uh-garn) continues to have the lead during the third round of the Women's British Open. She tops midway leader Mirim Lee by two shots with three holes remaining in the round. Jutanugarn is 6-under for the day and 16-under for the tournament.
NAPA, Calif. (AP) — The general manager of the Oakland Raiders, Reggie McKenzie, has a new contract. Owner Mark Davis announced last night to around 100 former Raiders players that McKenzie has a new four-year extension. He took over the running of the team back in 2012.
LEXINGTON, OHIO (AP) — IndyCar qualifying is taking place today at the Mid-Ohio racetrack. Will Power heads into the weekend with four wins in the last five races. The Mid-Ohio track is located between Cleveland and Columbus.
HOCKENHEIM, Germany (AP) — The Formula One circuit is in Germany this weekend for the annual German Grand Prix. In qualifying today Nico (NEE'-koh) Rosberg of Mercedes won the pole, with teammate Lewis Hamilton the second-fastest qualifier. The second row consists of Red Bull drivers Daniel Ricciardo (rih-KAHR'-doh) and Max Verstappen.
