MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Nick Marshall has left Memphis' basketball program.
Coach Tubby Smith said Monday in a news release that "we're disappointed that Nick is not coming back to the program." Smith, who is entering his first season as Memphis' coach, added that "we appreciate that he was with the team last season and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors."
Marshall, a 6-foot-11 forward from Lexington, Tennessee, averaged 3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 8.6 minutes per game as a freshman last season. He played in 32 games and made one start.
