NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — Led by Darin Smith Jr.'s 14 points, the Central Connecticut Blue Devils defeated the UMass-Lowell River Hawks 69-67. Max Brooks finished with 29 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and two blocks for the River Hawks. The Blue Devils are now 4-3 on the season, while the River Hawks fell to 5-4.
