CEDAR CITY — A 22-year-old St. George man accused of attempting to entice a minor has been sentenced to three years' probation in connection with the case.

Cameron Lee Carr, who had been incarcerated in Iron County Jail since his arrest in late July, was sentenced on Dec. 5 by 5th District Judge Matthew L. Bell.

As previously reported in St. George News/Cedar City News, Carr, who was 21 at the time, was accused of enticing a 14-year-old Enoch girl with whom he'd reportedly conversed online. The girl, who had been reported missing by her family, was located by police inside Carr's home in St. George at the time of Carr's arrest on July 30.

According to the probable cause statement, Carr told investigating officers he did not know the girl was under age 18.
