HANKSVILLE, Wayne County — One person was killed and three were seriously injured in a head-on collision north of Hanksville on Thursday morning.
The collision occurred several miles north of Hanksville about 6:30 a.m., when a southbound Buick LeSabre drifted across the center line and collided with an oncoming Hyundai Santa Fe, according to UHP spokesman Chris Bishop.
The driver of the Buick was killed and three occupants of the Hyundai were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, he said.
Officials are investigating impairment as a possible contributing factor, but more information was not available.
