Outgoing Arkansas Chancellor Gearhart, wife, give $1M to UA

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Outgoing University of Arkansas Chancellor G. David Gearhart and his wife, Jane, are giving a $1 million gift to the university.

The donation is to Campaign Arkansas — which is an upcoming fundraising campaign by UA. The university said in a news release that it hasn't been determined yet how the contribution will be used.

Gearhart will retire as UA chancellor on July 31.
