CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Crews are now working seven days a week to have an almost $100 million dormitory for Clemson students open by the time fall classes begin in August.

Campus planning director Gerald Vander Mey tells The Greenville News (http://grnol.co/1Par4XR ) that work on the Core Campus dormitory has been delayed because of heavy rains in recent months, including the torrential rains of last October.

Work on the dorm began in July 2014. It will house 700 students.

Officials say additional work shifts will be added as needed to bring the project to completion on time.
