RENO, Nev. (AP) — Authorities have identified two brothers who were shot and killed by a Spanish Springs homeowner after a reported disturbance and confrontation outside his home over the weekend.
The Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office said Tuesday 29-year-old Glen Robins and 19-year-old Ryan Robins both died from multiple gunshot wounds. Both lived in Spanish Springs.
The medical examiner says Ryan Robins was shot twice through the torso. Glen Robins' cause of death was listed only as "multiple gunshot wounds."
The name of the shooter in his 50s has not been released.
Sheriff's detectives are investigating whether he should face any criminal charges after he told deputies he shot the two men he didn't know late Saturday night after they confronted him and his elderly father outside their home north of Reno.
