While he was growing up, Brian Lyman knew he wanted to be some type of doctor. His father was a chiropractor, but Brian didn't necessarily plan on following in his footsteps. He just knew his chosen profession would involve helping people be healthier.

Later, his interest in the methodology involved with chiropractic care increased, especially the aspect of helping the human body to function better with a natural and conservative approach. After graduating from chiropractic college in Dallas and practicing four years in Gilbert, Ariz., Brian moved to the Cache Valley where he now operates Lyman Health in Providence.

Brian calls his practice Lyman Health and not Lyman Chiropractic because he wants it to encompass a patient's overall health and wellness. This is accomplished using traditional hands-on adjusting techniques, exercise rehabilitation and nutrition and lifestyle counseling. Each patient's needs are addressed individually depending on their condition and health goals. Brian provides chiropractic care for everyone, including pregnant women and children.

Headaches are the number one problem Brian treats. Many of them originate from problems in the neck or spine. While Brian does everything he can to fix an issue, whether it be headaches, an ankle injury or back problems, he believes treatments are a joint effort between doctor and patient. He often gives patients homework in the form of exercises and stretches that will maximize their results.

As a chiropractor, Brian believes his job is to be a health coach. Appointment times are scheduled every half hour in order to give plenty of one-on-one attention to each patient.

Brian hopes to continue using his influence through Lyman Health to help people improve their quality of life.
