When I visited Red Maple Chinese Cuisine in July, the restaurant wasn't open yet but I could see that it was getting close. At the beginning of this month, owners Macy Chen and Bronson Tang officially opened the restaurant's doors to the public.
Red Maple Chinese Cuisine, located in West Valley City just off Redwood Road and 3500 South, has something for everyone. It serves both American-style Chinese food and more traditional Chinese dishes designed to satisfy even the most demanding connoisseur of authentic Chinese cuisine.
The American-Chinese offerings include the well-loved pon-pons, Kung Pao chicken and several original sweet and sour dishes. One of Red Maple's specialties is its succulent honey-walnut shrimp. The restaurant also offers a variety of standard soups, salads and vegetable dishes, including a selection of stir fry.
Bronson tells me the restaurant is open seven days a week and provides an environment suitable for the whole family. Bronson has been in the restaurant business more than 15 years and both his and Macy's families are long-time restaurant owners. They gained valuable experience in day-to-day operations during their many years of involvement with their families' restaurants. This gave Macy and Bronson a good understanding of what it takes to operate a restaurant and fostered their dream of opening their own.
Red Maple Chinese Cuisine is the fulfillment of that dream. Macy tells me the restaurant creates its delicious, fresh cuisine using only the finest ingredients. Hong Kong-style dim sum, all kinds of little tarts, dumplings, shrimp won-tons and sumptuous potstickers constitute the Red Maple experience.
Macy and Bronson's goal is for diners at Red Chinese Maple Cuisine to have 100 percent satisfaction and to provide healthy, tasty food at a great price.
