(KSL Sports) BYU isn't the only Utah team planning on playing in the new Cowboys football stadium next year.
TheOldCoach.com is reporting that Bingham High School is planning a showdown with Texas high school power Trinity High School in the 2nd Annual Kirk Herbstreit Challenge.
While the two schools are almost 1,000 miles apart, they have a lot in common. Both schools participate in the pregame Haka dance and are mainstreams in their respective state playoffs.
Trinity has won state titles in 2005 and 2007 and went 13-0 this season before falling to eventual Class 5A Division I state champ Allen in the state quarterfinals at Texas Stadium.
The Bingham Miners won the 2006 Utah 5A State Championship, but lost to Alta in the state final this past season.
The game will be played on September 7th. The BYU Oklahoma game is scheduled for September 5th.
