Save Story

Estimated read time: Less than a minute

Three Utah kids who have faced medical and developmental challenges are proving that the outdoors truly are for everyone.

In Part 2 of the 2026 Kids with Disabilities Adventures turkey hunts, we introduce Krew, Jake, and Deqclin - young hunters who overcame paralysis, cancer, and autism to take part in a spring turkey hunt.

Krew, who is paralyzed from the waist down, Jake, who recently completed cancer treatment, and Deqclin, an autistic youth, each achieved a milestone moment in the field thanks to the support of volunteer outdoorsmen, adaptive equipment, family encouragement, and organizations like Kids with Disabilities Adventures (KWD Adventures).

This episode captures the excitement, emotion, and determination behind each hunt as all three kids successfully harvest their birds.
