- Ally Sentnor scored her first USWNT brace in a 4-0 win over Jamaica.
- Sentnor attributed her two goals to teammates' efforts and earned "Woman of the Match."
- She now returns to the Utah Royals, who are struggling offensively, for an upcoming match against Louisville.
ST. LOUIS — Ally Sentnor has just one goal this season for the Utah Royals, but you wouldn't know it based on her performances with the U.S. women's national team.
The 21-year-old Massachusetts native scored twice in the first half of Tuesday's 4-0 friendly win over Jamaica at Energizer Park in St. Louis, Missouri, for her first brace as a member of the USWNT to earn the "Woman of the Match" award.
The first goal came 19 minutes into the match on a nice build-up from Lily Yohannes to Emily Fox before Sentnor hit the one-touch shot down and into the far corner. The second was also a one-touch shot on a rebound in the box off a shot by Alyssa Thompson in the 28th minute.
"Honestly, I was just in the right place, right time, and my teammates did all the work," Sentnor said of her goals. "Emily Fox with a great layoff (and) Alyssa with a shot that I got on the end of, so it's all credit to them, but I was just happy to be in the right place."
If "right place, right time" means in the opponent's box on the attack, then perhaps her home club in Utah could learn a little bit about getting the 2024 U.S. Female Young Player of the Year in that position more often for a side that ranks second-to-last in goals scored this season in the NWSL.

"She's got an ability inside the box that you can't teach," USWNT head coach Emma Hayes said of Sentnor. "She knows where the back of the net is, and if she gets a chance, she takes it. (She's) an unbelievable finisher."
Sentnor has played in all seven national team matches this year and now has four goals in four starts at the senior national team level. The other two goals in Tuesday's match came from substitute Lynn Biyendolo, who now leads the USWNT in goals off the bench since her debut in 2016.
Sentnor and goalkeeper Mandy McGlynn — who did not appear in the two matches this camp for the USWNT — now return to their club as the Utah Royals head on the road to take on Racing Louisville on Friday at 5:30 p.m. MDT.
Other Royals returning from international duty include Janni Thomsen from Denmark, Mina Tanaka from Japan, Aisha Solorzano from Guatemala, Cristina Roque from Puerto Rico, Bianca St-Georges from Canada, Ana Maria Guzman from Colombia and Lauren Flynn from the U.S. U-23 team.
Thomsen and Solorzano both scored during their time away, with Solorzano's goal coming against Utah teammate Roque in a Guatemala-Puerto Rico clash.
