SALT LAKE CITY — Another former Utah high school standout is signing with the Los Angeles Rams.
And no, this isn't about Puka Nacua.
Former University of Utah standout wide receiver and punt returner Britain Covey signed a one-year deal with the Rams, the organization announced Monday. The 28-year-old former Timpview High quarterback was the Eagles' top punt returner and receiver of the past three years, including winning a Super Bowl ring this past season.
Covey totaled 771 yards in 68 returns across 38 games over the past three seasons, including 417 yards in 2023 before being limited to five games last year with a shoulder and neck injury.
He also briefly returned kickoffs in Philadelphia, amassing 11 kick returns for 236 yards for the team that signed him as an undrafted free agent out of Utah in 2022.

"Can't put into words how much Philly has meant to me and my little family," he wrote Sunday on Instagram in a post co-signed by his wife, Leah.
In Los Angeles, Covey joins a wide receiver room that includes a familiar face in Nacua — the former record-setting NFL rookie out of Orem High by way of BYU who will be entering his third season in the league this fall.
Nacua totaled a league-record 1,486 receiving yards on 105 catches with six touchdowns as a rookie in 2023, then added 990 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games last year.
