OREM — The southbound lanes of I-15 were blocked Tuesday just north of Provo after a motorhome pulling a car crashed and rolled, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
All lanes of traffic except the HOV lane were blocked near the University Parkway exit at mile marker 269 from around 10:40 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. the Utah Department of Transportation website shows. Drivers were routed through U.S. 89, but all the lanes were reopened in the afternoon.
The motorhome had been traveling south when it hit the concrete barrier on the right side of the interstate, rolling onto its side and pulling the car in tow up over the barrier, Lt. Cam Roden with the UHP said. The crash happened at around 10:42 a.m.
Investigators are working to determine what happened to cause the accident, according to Roden. He said two people in the motorhome were taken to a hospital in serious condition.
