Minnesota Frost defenseman Claire Thompson is no typical rookie preparing for her first PWHL season. At 26, she's returning to hockey after taking last year off to pursue her medical degree at NYU. Her new teammates have come to call Thompson 'ChatGPT' for her sharp analytical mind and ability to concisely break down any problem she might encounter. On the ice, Thompson is a play-making blue-liner willing to take calculated risks to set up scoring chances. Thompson scored 13 points to shatter the single-tournament record in helping Canada win the gold medal at the 2022 Beijing Games.
