SALT LAKE CITY — The "Battle of the Brothers" is back on.

After nearly a decade since the two teams have played, Utah added in-state rival Utah State back to its schedule. The Aggies were added to Utah's 2024 nonconference schedule in a two-for-one agreement between the two programs in Utah's first season in the Big 12.

Utah will travel to Logan on Sept. 14, 2024, in the program's only road game of nonconference play, and will get two home games against Utah State in return: Sept. 19, 2026, and Sept. 13, 2031.

Utah's addition of Utah State completes the 2024 schedule, which now features a season-opening home contest against FCS Southern Utah (Aug. 29) and Baylor traveling to Rice-Eccles Stadium on Sept. 14 as a return game to the previously scheduled two-game series.

Though Baylor will be a conference opponent next season, the Big 12 agreed to have the Bears be considered a nonconference opponent for the 2024 season only.

Utah's 2024 slate includes road games against Arizona State, Colorado, Houston, Oklahoma State and UCF, with home games against Arizona, BYU, TCU and Iowa State. The exact dates for the Big 12 schedule have not been released but are expected to be released soon.

Utah features a 79-29-4 record against Utah State, with the last meeting being in 2015, in which Utah won 24-14.
