SALT LAKE CITY — There's been a lot of talk about Michigan in the news the last couple weeks ... and none of it to do with its on-field performance.
But that hasn't stopped the fans from tabbing the Wolverines as their No. 1 pick for the second straight week. Michigan checks in this week at No. 1 with 79 first-place votes, beating out Georgia with 54 first-place votes.
Outside of the top two, the remaining top-10 teams follow in line with their rankings in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, with Ohio State, Florida State and Washington rounded out the top five spots. Locally, Utah checks in at No. 13 — right where they are in the AP poll.
We do question some of the people who have selected Missouri, Air Force and Tulane at the No. 1 spot, but who are we to judge. Air Force at least has an undefeated record.
