ST. GEORGE — After slamming into a residential home on Sunday afternoon, a man crawled out of a sideways truck to safety — but not before causing a stir in the neighborhood.
"I just heard a screech and then a bang," neighbor Mac McGee said. "So I knew instantly what it was and came outside to see where it was, then I saw the truck on its side."
McGee said his wife called to report the crash, while he and another man rushed to assist the driver. He said they were able to open the truck door and the driver crawled out on his own. While standing on the truck box, McGee said he slipped and cut his arm open.
"So I hurt myself more than he got hurt," he said, chuckling. "But I'm glad he's OK."
