SALT LAKE CITY — Love it or hate it, the transfer portal is a part of college football's offseason.

As much a part of the calendar as recruiting and hats on a signing day table, the portal has been known to give — and take from — college football teams across the country. And the state of Utah is no different as another 15-day window opened April 15, with plenty of movement still coming.

"There's going to be guys going into the portal, no doubt about it. And maybe coming. I'd be shocked if there's not 4-6 coming and going," Utah coach Kyle Whittingham said. "That's just how football is now. As I've said before, sometimes it's a positive to have a guy move on and get to a school and a level of ball that maybe is more conducive to what his skill set is. It's good for him, good for us."

The sport saw plenty of change with the biggest transfer portal window opening in December, and May's window — while significantly shorter — is already throwing some players and programs to climes across the country in search of playing time.

Here's a look at local portal action from the state of Utah's three Football Bowl Subdivision institutions. For a look at college basketball's portal humming, click here — and check back often for updates on players coming and going from the Beehive State.
