ST. GEORGE — Utah Tech University commemorated its 10-year anniversary of having university status with a celebration Thursday at the Holland Centennial Commons building on the school's campus.

The event kicked off with the ceremonial cutting of the cake at 11 a.m. and was followed by students participating in a photo booth where their pictures could then be inserted onto a photo-mosaic wall.

University President Richard "Biff" Williams has been at Utah Tech for nine years.

"It's been a lot of fun to be here and be part of the growth," Williams told St. George News.
