NEPHI — Northbound I-15 was closed in Juab County after winter weather led to crashes involving two state trooper vehicles on Wednesday.
The road was closed for a time between milepost 222 and 228, where the freeway wraps around the east side of Nephi, the Utah Highway Patrol confirmed in a 5:25 p.m. tweet. By 7:45 p.m., all northbound lanes had been reopened.
Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Cameron Roden said a trooper was in one of the cars when it was hit, and he was transported to the hospital with mild to moderate injuries.
Further information about the crashes was not immediately available.
