SALT LAKE CITY — Bowl season is officially here, and we're ready for the action!

There's 44 total bowl games, including the College Football Playoff games and national championship, but we've selected only 15 games for you to pick for the remainder of the season. Each bowl game is worth 100 points, so there's still time to claim the No. 1 spot in your group.

If you don't want to pick all the games now, that's OK. We'll start this week with the first three games, as you can see below, and we'll go from there.

Though the first games you'll pick don't start until Saturday, the first bowl game of the season starts at 10 a.m. MT on Friday (for your viewing pleasure). So get your picks in before the games start for KSL.com College Football Pick'em.

Each week's first-, second- and third-place winners will get a $100, $70 and $30 Visa gift card, respectively, courtesy of Goldenwest Credit Union. The overall winners of Pick'em will receive a $500 gift card for first place, a $250 gift card for second place and a $100 gift card for third place.

Each week, we'll release the KSL.com sports staff picks for you to see. Can you do a better job than us? Probably, but that's the fun of it all.

This week's games are as follows:

  • Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl: UAB vs. No. 13 BYU (Sat., Dec. 18, 1:30 p.m. MT, ABC)
  • Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl Presented by Stifel: Utah State vs. Oregon State (Sat., Dec. 18, 5:30 p.m MT, ABC)
  • Tropical Smoothie Cafe Frisco Bowl: UTSA vs. No. 24 San Diego State (Tue., Dec. 21, 5:30 p.m. MT, ESPN)
