SALT LAKE CITY — It’s decision day for the NFL, where each team was required to cut its roster down to 53 players.

NFL teams started making roster moves prior to Saturday, but each team was required to have final rosters completed by 2 p.m. MT. The moves impacted several former local college athletes, leaving some without a team for the 2020 season. These players may still make a practice squad and have other opportunities to stay with a team, but they aren’t listed on the active roster.

Teams had until Sunday afternoon to fill their 16-man practice squad. The league previously approved a 12-man practice squad roster for the 2020 and 2021 seasons, but because of the coronavirus pandemic the NFL upped the limit to 16. Players added to the practice squad may play up to two games during the season if activated. The weekly salary for a member of the practice squad is $8,400 for a 16-week season.

Here’s a list of the local players that were cut by their respective team.
