SOUTH SALT LAKE — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in a juvenile sexual assault, officers said Wednesday.

The assault occurred between 7 and 8:10 a.m. on Saturday near Lincoln Elementary School, 3750 S. 450 East, according to South Salt Lake police.

Photos taken from surveillance footage show a man police described as a skinny African American, about 6 feet tall with short braided hair.

He was last seen near 3800 S. 300 East, and police are looking for any information on who the man might be.

On Thursday, police released better photos of the person of interest.
