MIDVALE — An 18-year-old man has died from injuries he suffered in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday, Unified police said on Thursday.

Matthew Boswell, 18, of West Jordan, crashed his motorcycle about 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday near 7020 S. 700 West, Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray said.

Boswell had owned the bike for about one week prior to the crash, Gray said. Witnesses told police he was not wearing a helmet and traveled at a high rate of speed.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
