MIDVALE — A man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday afternoon, according to Unified police Sgt. Melody Gray.

The crash occurred about 2:10 p.m. near 7020 S. 700 West and seriously injured a man in his early 20s, Gray said.

The man had owned the bike for about one week prior to the crash, Gray said. Witnesses told police he was not wearing a helmet and traveled at a high rate of speed.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
