BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — Taze Moore had 16 points and scored on a putback at the buzzer to lift Cal State Bakersfield past Utah Valley 73-71 on Saturday night.

Moore made a pair of free throws to give the Roadrunners 71-68 lead, and Utah Valley tied it at 71 on Ben Nakwaasah's 3-pointer with 18.1 seconds left. Jarkel Joiner missed a 3 but Moore hit the layup to seal it.

Moore was 5-of-16 shooting and 6 of 6 from the free-throw line. Rickey Holden had 16 points and six assists for CSUB (10-5, 2-0 Western Athletic Conference). Justin Edler-Davis added 13 points and eight rebounds, and Damiyne Durham chipped in with 10 points.

Connor MacDougall scored 14 points and Conner Toolson had 13 to lead Utah Valley (11-6, 0-2). Nakwaasah finished with six points on a pair of 3s with five assists.
