SANDY, Utah (AP) -- Yura Movsisyan, Will Johnson and Robbie Findley scored goals to help Real Salt Lake beat FC Dallas 3-1 on Saturday night.

Real Salt Lake (10-10-9) is close to clinching the franchise's first playoff spot. Real would earn the No. 3. seed in the playoffs if the Colorado Rapids fail to win Sunday at Chivas USA. RSL and Colorado meet next week in the final game of the regular season. If Colorado wins, Sunday RSL would need only a tie to make the postseason.

With the loss, Dallas (8-10-11) was eliminated from playoff contention.

After Marcelo Saragosa opened the scoring for Dallas in the seventh minute, Movsisyan tied it in the 35th. Johnson made it 2-1 in the 54th minute, and Findley scored in the 86th.

Saragosa picked up a yellow card, along with RSL's Dema Kovalenko, in the 22nd minute for unsportsmanlike conduct. Eight minutes later, Saragosa was given a second yellow card for elbowing RSL's Robbie Russell, leaving Dallas with 10 players.

FC Dallas then dropped to nine players when Pablo Ricchetti was red-carded for a dangerous slide tackle on Johnson in the 90th minute.
