President Bush spoke from the White House this morning about the bailout plan. He spoke early, 5;35 our time, trying to reassure the markets before they opened. "I thought McCain won, but the American people who were polled over the weekend don't seem to agree with me." ABC Political Consultant Steve Roberts talked with Grant and Amanda this morning. He said the general consensus around the nation seems to be that Barack Obama looked like he belonged on the stage. Steve also commented on the politics behind the bailout plan, saying that he thought the move by House Republicans was both substance and posturing.
