FARMVILLE, Va. (AP) — MaCio Teague scored a career-high 30 points, including six 3-pointers in the first half, and UNC Asheville routed Longwood 91-69 on Saturday for its seventh straight win.
The Bulldogs (20-7, 12-2 Big South) remain tied with Liberty atop the conference standings. Longwood (6-19, 3-11) has lost 11 in a row.
Teague was 10 of 16 from the floor and 6 of 10 from long range. Ahmad Thomas added 22 points, and Will Weeks had 14 points and nine rebounds for UNC Asheville, which shot 34 of 66 (51.5 percent), made 10 3-pointers and outrebounded the Lancers 41-32.
Darrion Allen scored 17 points to lead five in double figures for Longwood.
Teague made three straight 3-pointers to give the Bulldogs a 31-12 lead midway through the first half. The Lancers pulled to 49-35 at the break but didn't get closer.
