This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
Today I'd like to tell you about another of the fantastic Greek-owned businesses in our state — Crown Car Wash in Taylorsville.
Nick Klonizos has been interested in the car washing business for 20 years and always wanted to open his own carwash. His father is a car buff and taught Nick early on the joy of making cars look brand new even when they are several years old.
Five years ago Nick decided he was ready to leave his family's business (they run one of the Crown Burger Restaurants) so he started searching for the perfect location to build his car wash. Last June his dream came to pass with the opening of Crown Car Wash in Taylorsville.
Crown Car Wash offers exterior washes and full-service washes, as well as hand waxing, upholstery cleaning and full detailing services. Nick says customers are never pressured as to what car wash to purchase; instead they pay at a kiosk before entering the wash and once through, they can pull into the detail bay where Nick and his staff vacuum the vehicle, clean the windows and detail the car, at the client's request. Self-service vacuums are available and those in a hurry can select to only purchase a car wash.
Thus far Crown Car Wash has received a great response. Many of Nick's clients are not only pleased with his service, but they also love the Taylorsville location. Getting the word out has been difficult, but business picks up more every day.
Owning and operating Crown Car Wash has been a dream come true, Nick says. Taking care of cars is an interest both he and his father have always shared, and he has enjoyed forming a business around his passion.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
