CHICAGO — Lone Peaks' Frank Jackson has been a dynamic scorer in Utah for the past four years, but a lot of people remember him for his high-flying slam dunks.

The Duke signee showed off his range Wednesday night in the McDonald's All-American game.

Jackson scored a game-high 19 points on 5-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc to lift the West all-stars by the East squad, 114-107 at the United Center in Chicago.

"I think we played well together," Jackson told ESPN after he shared John R. Wooden Most Valuable Player honors. "We were unselfish, and we got out to have some fun. We got the crowd involved, played unselfish and got the 'W.'"

The senior from Highland, Utah knocked down a triple from NBA range with about nine minutes remaining to put the West up, 91-72 in the annual all-star exhibition featuring some of the top players in the nation. He scored almost as many triples from deep as every other player, who combined to go 8-of-41 from 3-point range.

Josh Jackson, who also won the co-MVP award, also had 19 points and added four rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot. The Detroit native is considering Michigan State, Kansas and Arizona.

Jayson Tatum led the East with 18 points, and Bam Adebayo added 16 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

Frank Jackson, who was the first Utah prep player named to the event since Brighton's Garner Meads in 2000. Jackson joined a notable alumni list from the Beehive State that also includes Murray's Britton Johnsen (1997), Emery's Shawn Bradley (1990) and Provo's Devin Durrant (1978), among others.

Jackson won the Powerade Jamfest slam dunk contest Monday night with a 360 hammer dunk that sent the stands into an uproar.
