JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) — T.J. Cromer scored 23 points, hitting 6 of 7 from 3-point range, and East Tennessee State cruised to an 88-51 win over VMI on Monday night.

The Bucs (10-6, 3-0 Southern Conference) have won three straight conference games and five in a row overall.

Lester Wilson finished with 16 points, including 4 of 7 from long range, for East Tennessee State, which tied a school record for 3-pointers made in a game with 15.

Trey Chapman scored the first points of the game for VMI, but that was the only lead the Keydets had all night as the Bucs ripped off a 14-2 run to take a double digit lead just over six minutes into the game.

Cromer's final trey made it 71-42 with 7:13 to play and his layup two possessions later pushed it past 30.

Julian Eleby scored 10 points for VMI (5-10, 0-4).
