KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho (AP) — Kootenai County authorities say they've identified a person or persons of interest in the case of a Spokane woman whose body was found in Lake Coeur d'Alene in November.
Kootenai County Sheriff's Lt. Stu Miller said Tuesday 27-year-old Kimberly Sue Vezina most likely died in Washington, was transported to Idaho and dumped in the lake in an effort to conceal the incident.
The Kootenai County Coroner's report says Vezina died of "combined drug toxicity." The Spokesman-Review reports (http://goo.gl/uvkkFm ) the coroner determined she died from the simultaneous use of multiple drugs, which is not the same as a drug overdose.
Authorities were called to Fuller's Bay at the south end of Lake Coeur d'Alene Nov. 9 for a reported body floating in the water.
The sheriff's dive team and detectives recovered Vezina's body.
