NASHVILLE, Ark. (AP) — A coroner in Arkansas says "it's a miracle" that a young girl, about 18 months old, survived a tornado that killed her parents when it destroyed their mobile home last night. John Gray says Michael and Melissa Mooneyhan were trying to protect their daughter when the trailer flipped over and "exploded" in the storm. They were among at least five people in Arkansas and Texas killed by the violent weather. And eight people are still missing in the rural East Texas town of Van.

LAKE MARY, Fla. (AP) — It appears that George Zimmerman was involved in another violent confrontation today in Florida -- with the same man who was in a road rage incident with him last year. Police say Matthew Apperson called 911 today to report the latest confrontation. Zimmerman's lawyer says a bullet that was fired at Zimmerman missed his head, but that he suffered minor injuries when he was sprayed with glass from his windshield. Police say they haven't determined how this latest incident began. Zimmerman is the former neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted in the killing of Trayvon Martin.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State John Kerry is on his way to Russia to meet with President Vladimir Putin. It's Kerry's first visit there since relations between the two countries hit their lowest point of the post-Cold-War years, amid disagreements over Ukraine and Syria. Russia's Foreign Ministry is previewing the talks by blaming Washington for the breakdown in relations. And the Russians aren't even confirming that Putin will meet with Kerry.

NEW YORK (AP) — Stock indexes have closed moderately lower as the market resumes trading following its best day in two months. Energy stocks fell the most today as oil prices moved lower. The Dow fell 85 points, while the S&P gave up 10 points. The Nasdaq also lost 10 points.

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — A decorated Marine has been convicted of a hazing charge, and he's been sentenced to a reduction in rank. Staff Sgt. Dustin Barker was accused of humiliating and physically abusing those under his command. The military says he was convicted in a general court-martial in Norfolk, Virginia. Barker had been accused of multiple counts of hazing at bases in Virginia and Cuba. But he was found guilty in only one incident.
