BOSTON (AP) — On Monday, some 30,000 runners will take part in the world's oldest annual marathon. It will be the second Boston Marathon since two bombs went off near the finish line in 2013, killing three people and wounding 260 others. Last year, Meb Keflezighi (kehf-LEHZH'-gee) became the first American man to win the race since 1983. And this year, he's back, wearing the defending champion's bib No. 1. He says, "I'm delighted to be a part of something positive."

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Federal officials say they'll provide more details Monday following the arrests of six people in a terrorism investigation in Minnesota. Authorities say young people have either tried to travel to Syria or have actually gotten there to fight with the Islamic State group. Authorities say at least one Minnesotan died while fighting for militants.

ROME (AP) — Italian officials say they aren't sure how many migrants were on a smuggler's boat that overturned off Libya's coast over the weekend. Only 28 people were rescued and 24 bodies have been pulled from the water. Some survivors say about 700 people were on board. A survivor from Bangladesh told Italian officials that smugglers locked about 300 people in the hold and that 950 had set out on the journey.

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (AP) — Three people were killed and 11 were wounded when a suicide bomber attacked a police station in Afghanistan's Helmand province. Police say the attacker detonated the explosives at the gate to the police compound late Sunday, allowing two other militants to go inside. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Taliban have long been active in the area.

CINCINNATI (AP) — A woman in Cincinnati is dead after police say a tree fell on her car. The accident happened Sunday afternoon. Another motorist tells the Cincinnati Enquirer that he saw the woman driving just moments before the tree fell. He says he then rushed to the car.
