PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — The family of a man found dead with his seven children in their home on Maryland's Eastern Shore says the eight died of carbon monoxide poisoning. The mother and stepfather of 36-year-old Rodney Todd say he and his five daughters and two sons had a generator running in their home in Princess Anne, after the power company cut off their electricity. Delmarva Power won't say whether the power had been cut off, but it says the matter is being investigated.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says it's unrealistic to refuse to strike a nuclear deal with Iran until it recognizes Israel's right to exist. Obama tells NPR News that it would be "a fundamental misjudgment" to condition a nuclear deal with Iran on the country changing its hostile stance toward Israel. Obama says that would be like Iran suddenly transforming itself into Germany or Sweden. Israeli officials oppose the framework agreement reached last week between U.S.-led international negotiators and Iran.

BOSTON (AP) — The federal prosecutor in the Boston Marathon bombing trial says when Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (joh-HAHR' tsahr-NEYE'-ehv) planted a bomb near a group of children, he made a coldblooded decision aimed at punishing America for its wars in Muslim countries. Tsarnaev's attorney told the jury during closing arguments that Tsarnaev, who was 19 at the time of the attack, was under the influence of his older brother, who was killed during the manhunt. The jury is expected to begin deliberating tomorrow.

FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — Closing arguments are set for tomorrow in the murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez. Hernandez is charged with the June 2013 killing of Odin (OH'-dihn) Lloyd, the boyfriend of his fiancee's sister. Lloyd was shot six times at an industrial park near Hernandez's home in North Attleborough, Massachusetts.

DALLAS (AP) — Some of the nation's largest retailers are pulling from their shelves Blue Bell Ice Cream that was produced at the company's Oklahoma plant. Blue Bell issued a recall last month after ice cream contaminated with listeriosis was linked to three deaths in Kansas. Wal-Mart and Sam's Club have pulled the products from their shelves but continue to sell Blue Bell products made at other plants. Grocery store Kroger has done the same.
