LAS VEGAS (AP) — A bankruptcy judge says an arm of casino giant Caesars Entertainment Corp. can tear up contracts with several organizations, including the Kansas City Chiefs. The Caesars subdivision filed bankruptcy in January to shed some $10 billion in debt. A company suite for Chiefs games costs $12,000 a month.
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — A Nevada lawmaker is introducing a bill that would allow industrial marijuana farming. The bill by Democratic Sen. Tick Segerblom would allow agricultural research colleges and registered growers to purchase, store and buy industrial cannabis. He says the bill will keep the hemp industry separate from recreational or medical marijuana industries in the state.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Wynn Resorts Ltd. urged shareholders to vote as soon as possible to oust Elaine Wynn from the casino-resort company's board. Elaine Wynn has filed a lawsuit against ex-husband Steve Wynn to void a shareholder agreement between the two that would allow her to sell or give away any of her 9.4 percent stake.
ELKO, Nev. (AP) — A 43-year-old Elko County man is pleading not guilty to 12 criminal counts accusing him of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a child. The Elko Daily Free Press reports Harry Butler's trial has been scheduled for May. He is accused of forcing an underage female relative to take nude photos of herself.
