RENO, Nev. (AP) — Washoe County sheriff's deputies have arrested an attempted murder suspect after a standoff with a SWAT team in Lemmon Valley north of Reno.
Lt. Tom Green says Nathan Philbrook surrendered after officers threw tear gas in the trailer where he had barricaded himself on Tuesday morning.
The standoff lasted more than four hours and forced the closure of several streets around the home just southeast of Lemmon Valley Elementary School.
Green says Philbrook surrendered about 3:30 p.m. He'll be charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting Sunday night.
