TOWSON, Md. (AP) — Baltimore County Public Schools are gearing up for Education Week, a weeklong showcase featuring activities and events focused around teaching and learning.
American Education Week begins on Nov. 16. Among the events planning in Baltimore County is a sharing assembly at Milbrook Elementary School where students will recite poems and sing songs, a series of special programs at Sollers Point Technical High School including free manicures and haircuts from the school's cosmetology students, and a pastry breakfast for students and parents at Pleasant Plains Elementary School.
The theme for this year's American Education week is "Raise your Hand for Student Success." Education Week has been celebrated for over 90 years.
