MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in southwest have identified the Meridian couple killed in a murder-suicide.
The Ada County Coroner's Office says 24-year-old Kevin Smith shot his wife, 32-year-old Kimberly Smith, at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday before turning the gun on himself a minute later.
The coroner says Kimberly Smith died of multiple gunshot wounds and listed her death as a homicide.
The coroner in a report on Monday says Kevin Smith died of a single gunshot wound to the head and ruled his death a suicide.
The Meridian Police Department responded after receiving a report of shots fired from a residence.
Police say they discovered the bodies in the garage.
