FRESNO, Calif.- The Salt Lake Bees managed just two hits on Thursday night, as they were shutout 8-0 by the Fresno Grizzlies. Starter Mike Kickham (6-5) went eight and one-third innings and surrendered just a two out triple to Luis Jimenez in the first inning and a one out double by J.B. Shuck in the ninth before Eric Cordier recorded the final two outs of the game. This marks the third time this season that the Bees have been blanked. A pair of Salt Lake hitting streaks came to an end, as Roberto Lopez went 0-for-3 to end his fourteen gamer and Brennan Boesch went 0-for-4 to snap his twelve gamer.

Angels' starter Tyler Skaggs struggled in his rehab assignment, as he went just three innings and allowed seven runs, two earned, on five hits with five walks and two strikeouts. Fresno jumped in front with five unearned runs in the first inning, as Salt Lake committed a pair of errors, and added two more in the second and one more in the fifth. Three Bees' relievers, Fernando Nieve, Anthony Lerew and Jeremy Berg, combined to allow just one run in five innings of work.
