LOS ANGELES (AP) — A source tells the AP that former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has agreed to buy the Los Angeles Clippers for $2 billion. If the deal is approved by the NBA, it would be record price. Co-owner Shelly Sterling negotiated the sale after her husband, Donald Sterling, made racist remarks that were made public. He must also approve the final agreement as a 50-percent owner.

WASHINGTON (AP) — There are growing calls in Congress for Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki to resign, following a VA watchdog report that cites systemic problems in VA's medical care. But, House Speaker John Boehner says that won't get to the bottom of the problems, while Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi says it would reward those who misled Shinseki. The White House says President Barack Obama is waiting for the full investigation to be completed before deciding who should be held accountable.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration is expressing concern because of "ongoing violence in eastern Ukraine." Ukraine's acting president said earlier today that 12 troops died when rebels shot down a military helicopter in Slovyansk (SLAHV'-yansk) using a portable air defense missile.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A federal report finds that the economic and societal harm from motor vehicle crashes amounted to a whopping $871 billion in 2010. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration examined the economic toll of car and truck crashes that year, when 32,999 people were killed, 3.9 million injured and 24 million vehicles damaged. Those deaths and injuries were similar to other recent years.

HAWTHORNE, Calif. (AP) — Billionaire Elon Musk has unveiled a new spacecraft designed to ferry up to seven astronauts to the International Space Station. The wraps were taken off the cone-headed craft, dubbed Dragon V2, at the Southern California headquarters of Musk's company, SpaceX. The firm is one of several private companies competing to build "space taxis" for NASA to replace the retired space shuttle fleet.
