SANDY — At Rio Tinto Stadium, two teams earned soccer championships.
Here are the results from Thursday's games.
5A Soccer Championship:
Riverton 1 Fremont 0
Stellar defense from both Riverton and Fremont led to a low scoring game, but a great pass from Hunter McFall led to a Nick Tanner goal for Riverton. That was the only score of the game and Skyline won its first ever boy's state soccer championship.
4A Soccer Championship:
Skyline 3 Logan 0
Skyline got goals from Nate Jensen, Hunter Kone, and Sheldon Martineau in the 4A state championship to blank Logan 3-0.
